    The presidential campaign on the Repubican side has hit a new low. Now, Donald Trump is criticizing John Kasich’s table manners. Trump said Kasich, when at a diner during a campaign stop, shoved pancakes into his mouth. “It’s disgusting,” said Trump. “Not presidential.” Trump even said he had told his young son to turn away from the television set so as not to watch the horror of it.     County Building Inspector Dan Gladwill presented a first quarter report for 2016 to county commissioners last week. He noted 52 building permits were issued with five more pending. “Which is quite a bunch,” he said. Total projects value were $2,256,769, compared to $798,378 in 2015. “First quarter numbers jump around a lot because of weather and other factors,” said Mark Storey, county public works director. “Remember, this is just comparing first quarter to first quarter.” Gladwill reported three new house starts and a mobile home.     Colfax track team members went to the district meet on the track in Lakeside Wednesday, April 20, and stacked up its usual ration of wins, but the official readout of point totals excluded Colfax. Coach Jason Cooper said he is pretty sure the Bulldogs won the meet, but it does not show on the posted results.     The Colton softball team went to Colfax Monday and beat the 2B Bulldogs 9-5. Kendyl Druffel led at bat, going 3-for-4 with an RBI while Rachel Meyer went 2-for-3, also with one RBI.     All four ballot measures passed in Rosalia when votes were tabulated Tuesday night. Ballots were mailed to 795 voters, and 224 ballots were counted as of first count for a 28.18 percent return.
