    Rosalia Pianist John Nilsen will be at Rosalia United Methodist Church on Saturday, Aug. 21, at 4 p.m. Donations (minimum $5 suggested) will be accepted and Nilsen will have his CD’s for sale following his performance. Nilsen was born in Seattle, in 1956. The Nilsen family moved to Portland, Ore., in 1960 and Nilsen began studying classical piano from his mother at age six.     ROSALIA Garco Construction crews are at work installing an outdoor basketball court on the playfield of the Rosalia School. The court has been awarded to Rosalia by the Spokane Hoopfest Board and Northwest Basketball Camp, according to Terry Boxleitner, Rosalia athletic director. He said Garco crews donate their time on the project and slate work hours when they are in limbo from other jobs in the area.     Rosalia Howard (Pat) Patterson recently celebrated his 90th birthday. He is a veteran of WWII and was a rural mail carrier for more than 30 years. He now resides with his son, Dick, in St. John.     ROSALIA Wanda Sheahan recently returned from a week visiting her daughter and family, Cathy and Steve Healow, who have lived in Sacramento for 14 years. Her grandson, Joey Healow, was keynote speaker at graduation of his middle school where more than 600 students received diplomas.     Rosalia The Early Learning Center of Rosalia learned this week that they placed fourth in the nation for Community Service in the contest sponsored by Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR), according to Jessica Kile, director.     Rosalia “Mr. Texaco” Mike Day holds up a plaque proclaiming the Rosalia Central Service Station’s listing on the Washington Heritage Register and the National Register of Historic Places. The plaque will soon be hung on the Texaco station, which was built in 1923 by original proprietor C.J. Hall. The station was listed in 2007, and the plaque has since been kept in the attic of Jim and Diane Nebel.     Rosalia Rosalia FFA annual plant sale begins next Monday, April 26, at 8 a.m. Students will sell bedding plants, numerous varieties of tomatoes and a number of garden flowers like pansies, petunias and marigolds. Many of the plants have been growing in the school’s greenhouse since winter vacation.
