Rosalia FFA plant sale kicks off Monday

Rosalia

Rosalia FFA annual plant sale begins next Monday, April 26, at 8 a.m.

Students will sell bedding plants, numerous varieties of tomatoes and a number of garden flowers like pansies, petunias and marigolds.

Many of the plants have been growing in the school’s greenhouse since winter vacation. FFA Advisor Dee Peterschick advised customers to show up early, because the plants, particularly wave petunias, go quick.

Plants sell for $1 per container. Proceeds fund FFA programs.

The Rosalia Chamber of Commerce’s second annual kite festival and city wide yard sale will be next Saturday, May 1. The kite festival will be moved from the ballfield to the north playground at the school this year. Once again, the chamber will provide kites to those who need them.

Any Rosalia or Malden resident interested in getting their yard sale placed on the yard sale map should contact Pat Voge at Pat’s Books. Maps will be available throughout town on Saturday.
