Cancer benefit, music jam set at school

Rosalia High School will observe a breast cancer awareness night Saturday, Jan. 23, during the Touchet High School games. All fans are encourage to wear pink to the game in support of breast cancer and its research.

Fundraising events will be underway throughout the night. To purchase a support ribbon in advance, contact a Rosalia High School basketball player.

A Happy New Year music jam at the Rosalia Performing Arts Center will begin at 3 p.m. Saturday. An ugly sweater competition will be at 4 p.m. and a chili cooking contest will be at 5 p.m. with a chili and corn bread feed to follow.

Prizes of $20 will be awarded to the ugliest sweater and the best chili.

Proceeds will go for the roof project at the performing art center. For more information contact Rebecca Cook in Rosalia.
