Portland pianist to perform

Howard (Pat) Patterson recently celebrated his 90th birthday. He is a veteran of WWII and was a rural mail carrier for more than 30 years. He now resides with his son, Dick, in St. John.

Portland pianist John Nilsen will perform Aug. 21 at 4 p.m. in the Rosalia United Methodist Church, 214 S. Whitman in Rosalia.

Nilsen has recorded 17 CDs He has performed with David Foster, Jose’ Feliciano, Jesse Colin Young and countless others while touring throughout the United States, Europe and Asia over the past 26 years.

A minimum $5 per person donation for the concert will be accepted.

Forms are now available for the Rosalia community calendar. Residents can pick them up at the Texaco Station. Cost for a calendar listing is $6 per family and proceeds go to the Rosalia Booster Club.
