    Colfax alumni luncheon was Aug. 8 in Spokane with 67 people, 56 of them grads, attending. Coach Len Pyne was special guest of honor. He was basketball and baseball coach from 1949 to 1956 and now lives in Kennewick. Charles Kasdorf, class of 1940, drove from the Bay Area of California, to join the lunch. They celebrated birthdays of Lucille Buri Wilson, who turned 80 Monday and Margarite Krueger Hill who will be 96 at the end of the month. Monday was ‘Family Day’.     A service for Charlie Kasdorf, 89, was in Alameda, Calif., Aug. 24, 2011. Friends here are invited to attend his burial Monday, Aug. 29, 2011, at 2 p.m. in the Colfax Cemetery. He died at his home in Alameda, Calif., last Wednesday, Aug. 17, 2011. Born June 17, 1922, he attended business school in Spokane.     An elderly St. John couple was taken by ambulance to Whitman Hospital Aug. 17 after the car in which they were riding went off a 15 foot bank along the Green Hollow road. Ambulance crew members had to extricate Joyce Morasch, 83, from the car and carry her up the bank to the ambulance. The driver, Floyd Morasch, 88, was able to get out of the car.
