Car goes over road bank

An elderly St. John couple was taken by ambulance to Whitman Hospital Aug. 17 after the car in which they were riding went off a 15 foot bank along the Green Hollow road. Ambulance crew members had to extricate Joyce Morasch, 83, from the car and carry her up the bank to the ambulance. The driver, Floyd Morasch, 88, was able to get out of the car.

According to the accident report from the sheriff’s office, Morasch was driving a 1989 Chevrolet Caprice eastbound when it went off the road about five and one-half miles from Colfax. They were taken to the hospital for a checkup....
