    Michael Adam Assenberg, Colfax, who is running for Whitman County Sheriff in next year’s election, registered with the state Public Disclosure Commission Feb. 22. Assenberg declared his candidacy in late February just before he filed with the commission. Arrested for selling medical marijuana to more than one patient, he was exonerated of all charges in January because of a new legal interpretation about selling medical marijuana.     Students from the Colfax and Pullman area, ages 7 to 12, are invited to register for the upcoming “Introduction to Robotics” 4H Camp July 8-12. The camp, sponsored by WSU Extension in Whitman County, runs from 9 a.m. to noon at the Community Education and Training Center (CETC) in Colfax. During the camp, students will build and operate robots, learn about programming operating systems, navigate team robotic challenges and explore the field of engineering.     Whitman County Park Board and staff have announced the addition of a new trail to Kamiak Butte County Park’s trail system. West End Primitive Trail loops off of Pine Ridge Trail. Running two miles in length, it has been given the National Forest Service rating of difficult. It will be the first “no dogs allowed” trail in the Whitman County system. “The trail is narrow and difficult in spots.
