Auction benefits LaX project

Lacrosse

The silent auction to benefit LaCrosse Community Pride featured 83 items and proceeds were estimated at $3,880.

Purpose of the auction was to raise funds for annual expenses, such as utilities, taxes and insurance plus cover the expenses due to general repairs and maintenance for the DECA, which is a student business center, library and The Gathering Place which is a community center.

The public areas are non-income generating and therefore the nonprofit organization is responsible for the incurred expenses.

Eric and Lois Startin hosted a Father’s Day barbecue at their house on Sunday. Joining them were Gayle and Nancy Startin, LaCrosse; Chad and Nancy Startin, Diamond; Jill and Brandon Startin, Spokane; Buggy, Chelsey and Hudson Startin, Colfax; Tyler Startin and fiancée, Tiffany Hergert, Dusty; Meghan Startin, Onecho; Tammy Nolen and Austin, Midway, Ky.
