Pittmanns will mark 70th year

LaVerne and Ruth Pittmann will celebrate their 70th wedding anniversary July 4 with a family party. They were married July 3, 1943, in Spokane and farmed outside of Oakesdale for 50 years before moving into town. They will also celebrate Ruth’s July 4 birthday that day. Hosts will be their children and spouses, Doris and Royce Johnson of Farmington and Dennis and Carol Pittmann of Oakesdale. They have six grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Thayer-Claussen

wedding slated

Abigale Thayer of Rosalia, daughter of Carlene Thayer of Colfax and Trist Thayer and Erica Martin of Wyoming, and Devin Claussen of Rosalia, son of Carol and Jim Larsen of Colfax and Dru Claussen of Oakesdale, will be married June 22 at 4 p.m. at the Palouse Empire Fairgrounds. Abigale is a 2012 Colfax High graduate. Devin attended Colfax schools and graduated from Pullman in 2009. He works at Crop Production Services, St. John.

Koller-Luft vows will be at Lewiston

Karla Koller, daughter of Jim and Terri Koller of Pomeroy, and Phillip Luft, son of Gary and Janet Luft of Endicott, will be married June 22 at the Elks Club in Lewiston, Idaho. Karla graduated from LaCrosse High School in 2008 and Lewis-Clark State College in 2013 with a degree in business management. Phillip graduated from St. John High School in 2007 and attended Spokane Community College and Montana State University Northern. He is currently farming for Luft Farms, Inc., in Endicott.
