    SPOKANE VALLEY - Several Whitman County athletes struck gold and earn state berths in the 1B District 5/6/7 track and field meet Friday and Saturday, May 20-21, at Ridgeline High School. Cooper, a freshman, tied for first place in boys pole vault after clearing 10-00.00. Davenport junior Brenick Soliday cleared the same height.
