Small schools compete in Liberty Lake

St. John-Endicott tops Whitman County teams

 

Garfield-Palouse junior Ava Hemphill placed fifth in shot put, reaching a distance of 31-08.00.

SPOKANE VALLEY - Several Whitman County athletes struck gold and earn state berths in the 1B District 5/6/7 track and field meet Friday and Saturday, May 20-21, at Ridgeline High School.

St. John-Endicott/LaCrosse boys finished second as a team wiith 71.5 team points, followed by Garfield-Palouse third with 63 and Oakesdale fourth with 62.

Tekoa-Rosalia finished 10th with 34 points.

The boys team title went to Pomeroy, which earned 104 points.

In girls competition, Wilbur-Creston led the way with 100.5 points.
