    CHENEY – Several local and nearby lakes have an abundance of trout available to catch, just in time for opening day Saturday, April 22. The state Department of Fish and Wildlife has planted thousands of trout in area lakes, including West Medical Lake, Clear Lake, Badger Lake and Williams Lake. Williams Lake received the most fish, with the first plant taking place March 20. The state added 10,701 rainbow trout weighing less than a half-pound each that day.     LAMONT– A nearby lake has been stocked in advance of opening day of lowland lake fishing season. According to the state Department of Fish and Wildlife, Fishtrap Lake was planted twice last month with trout from the Spokane Hatchery. The state planted 8,000 rainbow trout weighing less than a half-pound each on March 22. Two days later, Fishtrap receive 500 rainbow weighing an average of 3 pounds.     PULLMAN — Whitman County Coroner, Annie Pillers, has released information on the body found at Washington State’s Stephenson Hall on Wednesday, Apr. 13. The male identified was 19-year-old Theodore Ray Clarkson, III. “The cause of death is asphyxia due to hanging, and the manner of death is suicide,” reports the Whitman County Coroners Office.
