Colfax varsity softball destroys Kettle Falls in doubleheader

COLFAX –– Delaney Imler destroyed Kettle Falls on the mound in a doubleheader on Friday, April 14.

Imler allowed zero runs in the first game leading a winning score of 14-0.

The Bulldogs scored in the first inning when Imler doubled on the first pitch of the at-bat, scoring two runs.

The Bulldogs scored five runs in the third inning. Karmen Akkeson, KeiLena Nelson, Harper Booth, and Imler led the offensive team, all driving in runs in the inning.

Kettle Falls did score a single by Carley Prouty in the first inning.

Imler was on the mound for five innings, allowing zero runs on two hits and striking out five.

Sydnee Corvino was in the pitcher's circle for Kettle Falls.

She allowed 12 hits and 14 runs over four innings.

Colfax Bulldogs Varsity tallied one home run on the day. Imler had a long ball in the third inning.

The Varsity team scored 12 hits in the game. Nelson, Akkeson, Brenna Gilchrist, and Imler collected multiple hits for the team. Nelson led Colfax Bulldogs with three hits in four at-bats.

The Bulldogs didn't commit a single error. Booth made the most plays with six. The girls stole seven bases during the game, as two players stole more than one. Devan Becker stole the most, leading the way with two.

The second game was an absolute blowout for Colfax, with a 20-4 victory.

Colfax Bulldogs fired up the first inning when Imler drew a walk, scoring one run.

Colfax Bulldogs Varsity scored six runs in the fourth inning. Booth, Imler, Hennigar, Jessa Patnode, Gilchrist, and Akkeson each led the charge with RBIs.

Akkeson was on the mound. The right-handed pitcher allowed two hits and one run over three innings, striking out two.

Marissa Burch was on the mound for Kettle Falls. She surrendered 20 runs on nine hits over three and two-thirds innings, striking out three.

Corvino three one-third of an inning out of the bullpen.

Colfax Bulldogs racked up nine hits in the game. Akkeson and Imler each scored multiple hits for the team. Akkeson led Colfax Varsity with three hits in five at-bats.

The Bulldogs stole eight bases during the game. Two players stole more than one. Becker, once again, led the way with the most stolen bases.

Kettle Falls totaled six hits in the game. Maci Langrehr and Lexi Larsen all managed multiple hits for Kettle Falls.
