Info for missing children sought

Two children missing, possibly taken back to Seattle area

PALOUSE - The Palouse Police Department and Whitman County Sheriff's Department are seeking information on two children who are currently missing and have not been seen since going to bed Saturday night.

The children are aged 7 and 12 years old.

They were reported missing on Sunday afternoon.

The family recently moved to Palouse, and the children have strong ties to friends and family on the west side of the state.

Fire department personnel, Sheriff's Posse, and Law Enforcement members searched the area for several hours based on information that the children had most likely run away.

Authorities believe the two children may have fled or been taken back to the Seattle area by friends or family members earlier in the morning.

Authorities are concerned about the safety of the children and are working at this time to confirm their location.

Anyone with information on the safety and location of the children is urged to contact the Palouse Police Department or the Whitman County Sheriff's Office.
