PULLMAN — Whitman County Coroner, Annie Pillers, has released information on the body found at Washington State’s Stephenson Hall on Wednesday, Apr. 13.

The male identified was 19-year-old Theodore Ray Clarkson, III.

“The cause of death is asphyxia due to hanging, and the manner of death is suicide,” reports the Whitman County Coroners Office.

At 12:39 a.m., Washington State University police were called to the Stephenson Hall complex, where a body was reported just south of the complex. Since then, an investigation has been underway, waiting for the final report from the coroner’s office.

This is WSU’s second reported suicide on Campus this year after Luke Morgan Tyler, a WSU freshman, was found dead in one of the residence halls on Jan. 22.
