Clifford M. Imler

Burial services for Clifford M. Imler, 66, will be Saturday, Aug. 3, at 10:30 a.m. at the Colfax Cemetery followed by a luncheon at Elmore United Methodist Church near Potlatch. Mr. Imler died Jan. 19, 2013, at Mercy Medical Center in Merced, Calif. He was a 35-year resident of Merced.

Born to Chauncy C. and Dorcas Brose Imler in Colfax, Nov. 2, 1946, he grew up on the family farm in Potlatch. He attended Potlatch and Palouse elementary schools and graduated from Palouse High School in 1966. He joined the U.S. Air Force in Spokane and was a jet engine mechanic from 1967 to 1970 including service in Vietnam. He was honorably discharged at Castle Air Force Base in Atwater, Calif. Mr. Imler was employed by the U.S. Fish & Wildlife from 1977 until he retired in 1996.

He married Cecelia Anne Johnston of Chowchilla, Calif., Feb. 2, 1973, and together they had two children. Mrs. Imler died in 1995.

Surviving are a daughter, Jeanette (Jason) Martin, and a son, Micah Imler, both of Merced; three sisters, Mildred Krasselt of Potlatch, Doriene Morton of The Dalles, Ore., and Grace Engelhard of Spokane, and four grandchildren.
