    Morgan Willson clocked a 21:16 to win another league run Tuesday on the hilly course at Northwest Christian. Willson opened a minute-plus gap on her league foe, Christina Anderson of NWC who clocked in at 22:17. Tim Cornelius of Colfax won the shorter junior high boys race with a 9:57.     Colfax finished 36th Saturday in the massive volleyball crossover tournament at Spokane. The Bulldogs finished a 1-2 in pool play Saturday morning at Lewis & Clark to qualify as a number three team. That sent them to Rogers High where the 16 number-three qualifiers battled for overall placing between 33 and 48.     St. John/Endicott girls posted a team win Tuesday in an SE cross-country race at the hilly race course up the Pomeroy golf links. The Eagles posted a minimum 15 team score to top Pomeroy’s 44. SJE booked the 15 because other finishers among the top five were from schools that lacked enough runners for a team entry. Isabell Benito of Waitsburg/Prescott won the race at 22:53.     Farmington Whitman County Library fall programs include storytime for pre-school children every Tuesday at 2 p.m. with this month featuring “friends of all kinds” through stories and crafts.     A mobile collection unit from the Inland Northwest Blood Center will be at the Colfax Library next Wednesday, Oct. 20, from 2 to 6 p.m. Appointments to donate blood can be made at the library or online at www.inbcsaves.org.     Oakesdale Students in the fourth through sixth grades Friday will travel to WSU Art Museum to see the Contemporary Australian Aboriginal art collection. The classes have been studying Australian aboriginal culture and will have a guest speaker who has traveled to Australia.     LaCrosse Dust, cobwebs and spiders were flying at the church in Hay Saturday, Oct. 9. Dionne Evans, Bev Dodge and Jeannine Larkin were cleaning the kitchen and downstairs preparing for the hunters’ breakfast and lunch which will be served Oct. 23 at the church.     Eleven cars participating in an informal cruise of the area made a stop Sept. 25 at the restored Texaco Station in Rosalia. Some of the car owner friendships date back to their high school days. Tim Kreutz of Chattaroy discovered the Texaco while working in Rosalia for TTX, a railroad car supply company.
