SJE girls post win at Pomeroy

St. John/Endicott girls posted a team win Tuesday in an SE cross-country race at the hilly race course up the Pomeroy golf links. The Eagles posted a minimum 15 team score to top Pomeroy’s 44. SJE booked the 15 because other finishers among the top five were from schools that lacked enough runners for a team entry.

Isabell Benito of Waitsburg/Prescott won the race at 22:53. The Pomeroy course, which will be the site of the district qualifier in two weeks, calls for runners to pull the hills on the Canyon course.
