It consists of a bellows about twenty inches long, upon which is placed a funnel of about the same length, into which is put a quantity of burning rags and some sulphur. Pacific Railcar Operators Saturday returned to the historic Potlatch Depot to hire out for rail rides to benefit the depot. The day was organized by the Washington, Idaho and Montana History Preservation group as a fund raiser. Centerpiece of the group’s efforts has been restoration of the depot. For the second time in two weeks, Poe Asphalt of Pullman has landed a job to repave a portion of the Wawawai-Pullman Road along upper Union Flat southeast of Pullman. Monday, the firm was awarded a $342,013 contract to repave over two miles of the road from the Hatley Road north past the Ewartsville intersection to the State Route 194 intersection west of Pullman.
