    COLFAX –– A late score in a close softball game against Northwest Christian (NWC) cost the Colfax Softball Varsity team the win. The Bulldogs lost 9-6 in their first game against NWC when Lauren Heinrich singled on the first pitch of the at-bat, scoring one run.     RITZVILLE – The Garfield-Palouse and Oakesdale girls track teams finished in the Top 10 on Saturday, April 29, at the Undeberg Invitational. The Vikings were second as a team with 94 points and Oakesdale was fourth with 63. The girls division was won by Okanogan with 136.5 points.     COLFAX –– The Colfax Highschool Baseball Bulldogs played a doubleheader against Northwest Christian (NWC) Varsity this past Saturday, April 29. The Bulldogs lost the doubleheader against NWC in two very close games.     COLFAX — David Feeder, 36, of Spokane, and Brunshay Miller, 35, of Atlanta, pled guilty to trying to cash a forged check at Umpqua bank on April 18, in Pullman Friday, April 28, reports say. Superior Judge Gary Libey sentenced the men in Whitman County Superior Court, following the recommendations agreed to by both the prosecutor’s office and defense attorneys.     UNIONTOWN- A fatal car collision on I95 occurred on Sunday, April 30. The Washington State Patrol Reported that at 7:13 p.m., Munir Daud, 80, of Pullman, veered across the southbound lane of travel and went off the roadway. Daud was traveling northbound in a 2003 Chevrolet Trailblazer when he went down a steep embankment, back up the embankment and collided with an uphill dirt embankment.
