    COLTON — The Colton Wildcats softball team put their offensive talents on display early, sweeping Waitsburg in two games. Colton won the first game 19-2, then won the second game 23-6. Both games were played on Tuesday, March 19, in Lewiston. The first game saw starting pitcher Kiya Soza go all five innings for the Wildcats. She allowed two runs on five hits with zero walks.     ST. JOHN — After splitting two games against Walla Walla to open the season, the St. John-Endicott/LaCrosse Eagles baseball team took on the Pomeroy Pirates for a double-header. The games were played in Pomeroy, both on Friday, March 22. On the day, the Eagles were shut out 15-0 in the first game, then lost the second game 2-16.     PULLMAN — After 16 years of waiting, the Washington State University (WSU) Men’s Basketball team qualified for the NCAA March Madness basketball tournament. WSU entered the tournament as the number seven seed for the East region. They played their opening round game in Omaha, NE, against the number 10 seed Drake Bulldogs.     COLFAX - In the second track and field meet of the season for the Colfax Bulldogs, the boys' side excelled, taking third overall in the Hawk Invite.
