Obituaries

A graveside memorial service for Wanda M. Bryngelson, 84, will be held on Friday, May 15, 2015, 10:30 a.m. at the Freeze Cemetery north of Potlatch. Mrs. Bryngelson died early last Tuesday, May 5, 2015, at the Kindred Nursing & Rehab - Aspen Park in Moscow, ID.

Born on Feb. 2, 1931, at Princeton, Idaho, to Glenn and Mary Lienhard Ackerman, she attended the Potlatch schools and graduated from Potlatch High School in 1948. She married Gordon “Buzz” Bryngelson May 29, 1948, at Coeur d’Alene, and the couple made their home at Potlatch. Wanda was a homemaker all her life. Mr. Bryngelson died in 2002.

A member of the Royal Neighbors and the board of the Potlatch Community Credit Union, she enjoyed gardening, sewing, cooking, canning, huckleberry picking and fishing.

Survivors include: four sons, Ellis Bryngelson (Kathy), Randy Bryngelson (Gayle) both of Potlatch; Fred Bryngelson, Princeton; Edward Bryngelson (Linda) Modesto, Calif .; one daughter, Glenna Parvin (Calvin) Pullman; one sister, Marjorie LaRue, Condon, Ore .; 18 grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Douglas.

Memorials may be given to the Potlatch Ambulance Fund, Box 63, Potlatch, ID 83855.

Funeral services for Alan L. Nagle, 63, will be Friday, May 15, 2015, at 2 p.m. at the Church of the Nazarene in Princeton, Idaho, with the Rev. Corey Laughary officiating. Burial will follow at the Freeze Cemetery. Mr. Nagle died at his Lewiston home Sat., May 9, 2015.

Born June 17, 1951, at Pullman to Lloyd and Helen Foster Nagle, he attended the Potlatch Schools and graduated with the Potlatch High School class of 1970. He attended LCSC for two years and received an associate’s degree in industrial mechanics in 1972.

Alan married Shelley Crumley Jan. 29, 1972, at Potlatch, and the couple made their home at Lewiston. Alan started working for Henderson Motors following his graduation. Later in 1994 he worked for Idaho Truck Sales before finishing out his career as a diesel mechanic at Kenworth Sales.

He enjoyed four-wheeling, spending time at the family cabin at Elk City, watching Gonzaga and having lunch once a week with friends at Waffles n’ More.

Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Shelley Nagle at the Lewiston home; one daughter, Nicole Hammons (Conor), Coeur d’Alene, one sister, Carolyn Crawford, Lewiston, and two grandchildren.

The family suggest memorial gifts go to the Freeze Maintenance District, c/o Randy Ownbey, 1276 W Freeze Rd., Potlatch, or the charity of the donor's choice.

Sturman service announcement

A memorial service for Elva Grant Sturman will be held Saturday, May 23, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. at the Plummer Bible Church in Plummer, Idaho. Pastor Stan Primer will officiate at the service. Mrs. Sturman passed away December 24, 2014, in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, at the age of 101. Memorial gifts may be given to the charity of the donor’s choice. Kramer Funeral Home of Tekoa is handling the arrangements.
