Virgil Dixon

Virgil Dixon, 86, former long-time business manager for the Colfax School district, died Monday, March 16, 2015, in Kennewick. He had been residing in Kennewick for the past year.

He was born Aug. 4, 1928, in Pullman and resided in the Pullman and Colfax areas for 82 years.

Mr. Dixon retired from his job as business manager for the district in 1990.

His wife, Lois, died in 2011.

He is survived by two sons, Ron Dixon of Kennewick and Randy Dixon of Seattle, and three grandchildren.

Mueller’s Tri-Cities Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements. Mr. Dixon was buried March 18 in the Colfax cemetery.

Imogene Myklebust

Imogene E. Myklebust, 93, a native of LaCrosse who lived in Craigmont, Idaho, since 1962, died March 8, 2015. A funeral service was conducted at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Craigmont.

Born Aug. 19, 1921, in LaCrosse to Frank and Ida Hyde, she was raised on a farm in the LaCrosse area and attended a one-room school. She was a member of the LaCrosse High School class of 1939.

She and Tom Myklebust were married March 16, 1943. They made their first home in LaCrosse and then moved to Spokane.

They moved to Craigmont in 1962 with their three children and operated Craigmont Hardware until they retired.

She enjoyed following sports teams, outdoors sports, boating and camping. She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.

Mr. Myklebust preceded her in death.

Surviving are her daughters, Ronna LeBoeuf, Umatilla, Ore. and Sheryl Mykleburst (LeRoy), Craigmont; son Tom Myklebust (Dixie); six grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a grandson, Tom Dugger.

The family suggests memorial donations go to Craigmont Quick Response, Nezperce Ambulance or St. Paul’s Mission Church.
