A memorial service for David Allen Futchko, 32, Colfax, will be Saturday, Aug. 23, 2014, at 11 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Colfax. Mr. Futchko, 32, died unexpectedly July 9, 2014, while swimming at the Colfax City Pool.

Born Sept. 5, 1981, in Spokane to Steven and Arlene (Howard) Futchko, he grew up and attended schools in Spokane.

When he was a boy he ran around with a group of kids known as the “Krazy Style Players.” As a teenager David really developed his interest in cars and music of all types.

After completing his G.E.D. he attended Spokane Community College for a couple years and became a certified auto technician.

He lived in Cheney for a few years and was back in Spokane when he met Heidi Marshall of Colfax.

They became partners and soul mates Sept. 25, 2012.

David worked at Arby’s in Colfax for quite a while and attended the Colfax United Methodist Church.

He was adamant to “customize” anything and would put his special touch on anything he owned.

He liked to garden, especially with Heidi’s parents, Ron and Shelly McMasters of Colfax.

Survived in addition to his fiancee, Heidi Marshall of Colfax, are his mother and step-father, Arlene and Monte Wilson of Kettle Falls; two daughters, Justine Conley of Elk and Diamond Futchko of Spokane; a brother, Nate Wilson, also of Spokane; and his maternal grandmother, Sharon Dearing of Spokane;

Memorial contributions are suggested to a memorial fund in his name, c/o the Colfax United Methodist Church. On-line condolences;

A memorial service for Marzetta M. Honn, 85, former long-time Ewan area farm woman, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 19, at the Christian Life Assembly Church in St. John with Pastor Dennis Franklin officiating. Mrs. Honn died June 27, 2014, at her daughter's home in Wheatland, Wyo. A service was conducted July 3 in Wheatland and she was buried at the Wheatland Cemetery.

Mrs. Honn moved to Wyoming after her husband, Ray Honn, died in 2007 at Moscow where they had made their retirement home for about two years.

Born April 9, 1929, to Ray and Rose Moore, she was raised in the Peone Prairie area north of Spokane. She and Mr. Honn were married Jan. 25, 1951, in Coeur d'Alene and farmed south of Ewan.

She enjoyed playing the harmonica, singing and reading. She was known for her sense of humor and her abilty to take things apart, make repairs and re-assemble them.

Surviving are her children, Shirley Honn, Idaho; Sharon McCarty (Al), Wheatland, Wyo .; Stanley Honn (Bonne), Post Falls, and and Sandra Honn-Ruedinger, St. John; six brothers, William, George, Jim, Glynn, Henry, and Cliff; one sister, Donna; 12 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials go Chairbound Hunters, Box 711, Wheatland, Wyo.
