The family of Claire Brown, 84, former resident of Oakesdale and St. Maries, Idaho, will hold a private graveside inurnment Saturday, June 28, at the Oakesdale Cemetery at 12:30 p.m. The ceremony will be followed by a celebration of her life at the Oakesdale city park.

She died at her home in Boise Oct. 26, 2013, after an extended illness. Survivors include a sister, Adele Saylor of Depot Bay, Ore .; a daughter, Janell Okaneko and family of Boise, son Randy Black and family of Colfax, stepchildren Connie Schmidt and Gerald Brown Jr. both of Coeur d’Alene.
