Linda Lea Dailey

Linda Lea Dailey, 69, of Sierra Vista, Ariz., died March 23, 2010, at the Sierra Vista Regional Health Center from complications from leukemia. Interment will be at a later date at the Freeze Cemetery near Potlatch, Idaho.

Born in Spokane, Oct. 27, 1940, to Verna and Willis Dawson, she was raised in Rosalia and graduated from Rosalia High School.

Linda received an education degree from Washington State College in 1962 and after teaching for other schools she became a high school teacher at Palouse. She and Richard Dailey were married in 1972, and made their home in Palouse.

She also was later employed at the Appaloosa Horse Club in Moscow until they retired and moved to Sierra Vista in 1992.

They enjoyed traveling during their retirement years.

Surviving are her husband Richard Dailey of Sierra Vista, and sister Mary Lou (Walter) Rattenbury of Rosalia; seven step-children, Richard (Marge) Dailey of Sierra Vista; Marilyn (Lamar) Nichols of Park City, Utah; Joseph (Pam) Dailey of Lewiston; Susan (Mike) Ambrose of Thousand Oaks, Calif .; Phillip (Jane) Dailey of Corvallis, Ore; John Dailey, Seattle and Scott Dailey, Pullman; 13 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Timothy E. Lewis

Timothy E. Lewis, 45, a resident of Tekoa for the past two years, died from an apparent heart attack last Monday morning, March 29, 2010, at his home in Tekoa. At his request, his remains were cremated. A memorial service was Saturday at Emida, Idaho.

Born April 11, 1964, at St. Maries, Idaho, to Donald K. and Mary Jane Munden Lewis, he attended schools in St. Maries. After his schooling, he made his home in St. Maries and worked for several logging companies in the area. He then worked 10 years for Hash Tree Company as a crew leader. He moved from St. Maries to Tekoa in 2008.

An avid hunter and fisherman, he enjoyed the outdoors and loved to camp.

Survivors include two sons, Nathen and Justin Lewis, both of Clarkston; one brother, Mark Lewis of Fernwood, Idaho; one sister, Cindy Godsby of St. Maries; his mother, Janie Lyons of Tekoa; one granddaughter and three step grandchildren.

Mary S. Truesdell

Mary Truesdell, 91, died March 24, 2010, in Caldwell, where she made her home. The service will be Saturday, April 10, at the Caldwell United Methodist Church. Mrs. Truesdell was the mother of Linda Marler of Colfax, and often visited the area to visit family and friends. She raised three daughters and enjoyed playing bridge with the same group for more than 60 years, church activities and PTA. Survivors include two other daughters. Among surviving grandchildren and great-grandchildren are Allison (Sam) Tucker, Sydney and Braden, of Goldsboro, N.C. Her husband of more than 65 years, W.H. (Jun) Truesdell, predeceased her.

Linda Day Buob

Linda Sharlene (Day) Buob, 69, died in Spokane, March 30, 2010. A memorial service will be conducted at a later date.

Born April 23, 1940, in Palouse, to the late Charlie and Marjorie McClure Day, the family later resided in Colfax and then moved to Rosalia where she graduated from Rosalia High School in 1958. She married Jerry Buob and they resided in Colfax for 30 years. They retired and spent 14 years living on wheels and spent winters in Arizona. They lived in Clarkston for a few years before returning to live in Spokane for the past few years.

She enjoyed gardening, canning, fishing, playing cards, bingo and other games. She also spent volunteer time picking up litter and spent many hours cleaning up along roads and highways. She volunteered often and took great pleasure in helping others.

Surviving are her husband of 51 years, Jerry, four children, Terry, Lorie, Kelly and Holly, and five siblings: Mike, Rick, Kevin, Cary and Vicki, and six grand-children.

Nearing rite slated

A memorial service for Bruce E. Nearing, 84, Palouse will be Saturday, April 10, at 11 a.m. at Kramer Funeral Home in Palouse. The Rev. Kathy Kramer will officiate. Inurnment will follow at the Greenwood Cemetery in Palouse with military honors conducted with Potlatch Post Veterans of Foreign Wars and a U. S. Army honor guard.

Mr. Nearing died Friday, Dec. 4, 2009, at the Pullman Regional Hospital. Memorials may be given to the Palouse Community Center Building Fund, Box 23, Palouse, 99161.

Fox rite set at Tekoa

An urn burial service for Ruby S. Fox, 92, will be at the Goldenrod Cemetery in Tekoa, April 10, at 2:30 p.m. Ruby died Jan, 7, 2010, while living in Nampa, Idaho. A memorial service was Feb. 6 at Courtland Place in the Spokane Valley.

She and her late husband, Ray Fox, operated a sweet shop and restaurant in Tekoa, and she later worked for Seattle First National Bank. She moved to the Courtland after her husband died in 1997.
