    SPOKANE VALLEY - Four Whitman County boy wrestlers earned top spots at the Tri-County Classic on Dec. 23. Walker Montgomery wrestled at 120 pounds for Garfield-Palouse. Tekoa-Rosalia's Bryce Casey and Cullen Billings competed at 145 pounds and Timberwolf teammate Koa Razo at 160.     SPOKANE VALLEY - Three Whitman County wrestlers brought home medals from the Tri-County Classic on Dec. 23. Tekoa-Rosalia senior Jesse Casey and freshman Alexis "Lulu" Taylor each brought home silver medals and Colfax's Sydney Sisk finished with bronze in the girls division.   • Rural roads closed due to snowdrifts

    COLFAX - Serveral rural roads are currently blocked due to drifting snow. State Highways 26, 127 and 194, were among those blocked due to snowdrifts on the highway. Many other rural roads were closed, too, including some where vehicles were stuck in drifts on the roadway, officials said. A Tekoa School District vehicle was among those reportedly stuck and abandoned on Warner Road. A fire truck was also stuck on Mullen Road, which connects Dry Creek Road to Hume Road.     COLFAX – A winter storm warning is in effect for Whitman County through Thursday night. The National Weather Service is predicting more snow with accumulations of up to 8 inches in some areas of the Palouse. The most snowfall is expected to be east of US 195.
