From early on, Katey Schlomer wanted to live in the middle of nowhere with a driveway two miles long. "My grandparents were farmers, so that's where that connection and love comes in," said Katey. Former resident Sharon Huff, Anacortes, was visiting family and friends from Feb. 23 until March 4. She attended the funerals of her brother-in-law, Dean Yongue, Margie Huff's husband of Blanchard, Idaho, and Leroy Mattly of Endicott. Anthony Jay Line passed away peacefully in his home on March 4, 2019. Tony was born March 6, 1948, at Coos Bay, Oregon, to Marian and Kenneth Line. Tony comes from a large family with seven siblings. Dorothy A. Lindgren, devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend, went to be with the Lord on March 5th at the age of 81. Carroll A. Schultheis, 86, a lifelong Colton, Wash., farmer, passed away March 10, 2019, at his Colton home surrounded by his family, after a short battle with cancer. Carroll was born May 31, 1932, in Colton to Jacob & Frances (Haupt) Schultheis. He attended St. Boniface Catholic grade school and high school, graduating in 1950. Emily Hart of Colfax passed away March 4, 2019, at Whitman Health & Rehab in Colfax, at the age of 94. A memorial service was held Monday, March 11th, at Peace Lutheran Church. Emily will be interred at a later date at the Pinecrest Cemetery in Sandpoint, Idaho. Emily was born September 19, 1924, in the family farmhouse along Selle Road north of Sandpoint.
