Girls wrestle at North Subregionals

SPANGLE - One Whitman County girl is headed to the regional wrestling tournament, but may not be competing.

Tekoa-Rosalia freshman Alexis Taylor qualified as an alternate to the tournament slated for Saturday at Ephrata High School by finishing sixth in the North Girls Subregional tournament on Feb. 5 at Liberty (Spangle) High School.

As an alternate, Taylor will have to weigh in and be ready to replace a wrestler in her 145-pound class who drops out due to being ill or who doesn't make weight.
