Colfax volleyball star's last game

BURLINGTON – Justice Brown played her last high school volleyball game in the state's version of an All-Stars game.

"It was her last hurrah," said Colfax Volleyball Coach and Justice's mom, Brandy Brown. "It was her last game on the court as a volleyball player."

Justice Brown has been playing competitive volleyball since the fifth-grade.

The Colfax Bulldog was eligible because she is a senior and was named to the All-League first team for 2B volleyball in the 9th District.

The Washington State Volleyball Coaches Association (WSVCA) creates four All-State teams for each state school league. The teams played exhibition games at Burlington High School on Dec. 5. Brown played on a team for 2B schools.

"It's just for honor and fun," said Brandy Brown.

Justice Brown played on a team comprised of players from Kalama, Liberty (Spangle), Lind-Ritzville, Raymond, and Toutle Lake.

"She did great," said Brandy Brown. "She was consistent and did well."

Justice Brown is attending Eastern Washington University next year to learn dental hygiene.

"It's been an honor to be her coach and blessed to have that opportunity throughout her high school career," said Brandy Brown. "We got to enjoy this ride together."
