Tom Schlueter and Tony Roberts appreciate the tokens of thanks for their service.
COLFAX - Four veterans received appreciation for their service in the form of handmade quilts.
The Quilts of Valor were given to them at the Colfax Methodist Church on Nov. 10, according to Diana King.
Tom Carmody, Al Nave, Tony Roberts, and Tom Schlueter appeared to enjoy the quilts and the appreciation for their service.
Carmody, 83, and his wife, Anita, live in Colfax. He served in the Navy from June 1957 to September 1977. The Navy Petty Officer 1st Class served aboard the USS Fulton, USS Pine, USS McMorris, and the USS Pledge. Carmody also served at the recruiting office in Chicago, Na...
