OAKESDALE – The Oakesdale Nighthawks defeated the St. John-Endicott-LaCrosse (SJEL) Eagles in their final game of the season.
The Nighthawks hosted the Eagles on Oct. 26 and won in three sets (25-16, 25-14, 25-23), according to Oakesdale Athletic Director Ken Lindgren.
Oakesdale ended the season undefeated with a 10-0 1B Southeast League record. Their next game is the opening round of District 6 playoffs against an undetermined opponent on Nov. 2.
The Eagles' loss leaves places them in second place in the league.
In the game, Oakesdale's Gianna Anderson had 3 aces, 12 kills, and 18 digs. Payton Davis contributed 24 assists and Marilla Hockett had 3 blocks.
SJEL's Ashlynn Archer had 18 kills and 3 blocks. Addisen Becker contributed 18 assists and Sophie Larsen had 7 digs.
