Colfax baseball split doubleheader

COLFAX — The Colfax baseball team played a home doubleheader against the Northwest Christian and split by winning 12-4 and losing 3-1.

In the first game, Braden Plummer hit three singles for Bulldogs while Eric Akesson, Layne Gingerich, Mason Gilchrist, and Cody Inderrieden all had a base hit each.

J.D. Peterson pitched all seven innings in the loss.

In game two, Gingerich pitched five innings for the win, relieved by Sam Kopp for two innings.
