Pitts duo hosts trainee

Rafe Carlson, Spokane, arrived last week at the farm of his grandparents, Kim and Cindy Pitts. He came to learn how to drive a wheat truck and help with harvest while his brother Tate was at basketball camp. Kim, Cindy and Rafe met Carrie Pitts, Yakima, in Pasco where they had lunch together. Tate has since joined his brother on the farm. Grandpa Kim will take them home Friday.

Larry and Di Brink hosted dinner Saturday for Tom Phillips, St. John, and Lucky and Joan Myrick, Dusty. It was a somewhat late celebration of Tom’s birthday.

Friday overnight guests of Karen Broeckel were her great nephew, Andrew Nolan, and his daughter, Murphy, Spokane. They joined Murphy’s grandparents, Greg and Gwen Nolan, and uncle Jason Nolan, Colfax, in an evening of fishing at Largent Lake. No luck catching fish, but Murphy did have a great time playing with Tork, the Largents’ german shepherd, who was the official greeting committee.
