Colfax BR bags two playoff wins

Colfax Babe Ruth team booked two wins in the first rounds of the league playoff and were slated to play Troy Wednesday night in Moscow in a semi-final round.

Colfax topped Kendrick 15-2 Monday in the first game with J.D. Peterson striking out 12 batters.

Tuesday, Colfax defeated Genesee, the league leaders, 13-3 with Mason Gilchrist fanning 11. Gilchrist, Carson Gray, and J.J. Bodey had big hits in the second round win over the league leaders.

Wednesday’s foe, Troy, was the number-two finisher in the standings after league play. Colfax finished fourth in the standings....
