Wildcats softball advances on road to state

Colton split two games at Medical Lake May 12 to advance to a state-qualifying game Saturday against Selkirk at 12 p.m. back at Medical Lake.

Last weekend, meeting Sunnyside Christian first, Colton’s Emma Schultheis pitched all seven innings and had three base hits in the 9-6 win. Other hits came from Jordyn Moehrle, Josie Schultheis, Abby Kelly, Taylor Thomas, Rylee Vining, Addison Kinzer (triple) and Maggie Pluid.

On the mound, Emma Schultheis gave up eight hits with three earned runs, four walks and seven strikeouts.
