Bulldog golfers win at Colville

Colfax golfers again posted another solid team win Tuesday in a league round on the 18-hole course at Colville. The Bulldogs finished with the second, third and fifth place scores on the par 72 course.

Tekoa/Rosalia’s Dawson Strobel topped the field with a two-under score of 70.

Chance Weitze finished a stroke behind Strobel with a 71 for second place. Augie Allenbach finished third with a 75, and Bennett Gray was fifth with a 77.

Team scores were not posted at the end of Tuesday’s play, but the high individual finishes pointed to a solid Colfax team win.

Lorenzeo Torlai booked an 84, Will Dunning an 88 and Chayne Aeschliman a 100.

All qualified for the sub-district round with scores under the required 110.

McKenna Davis carded a 88 on the girls side, and Cassidi Shindler finished a 110. Both qualified.

The Bulldogs have been invited to join SE teams at Pomeroy Saturday and then will play another qualifier round at Quail Ridge in Clarkston Tuesday.
