Bulldog girls add 2 more big wins at Reardan

Colfax softball team took two big wins in a makeup trip to Reardan Monday. The Bulldogs booked a 22-3 win in the first game, which was shut down after three innings. Colfax Pitcher Abbie Miller allowed the Indians five hits in the opener and struck out three batters.

Reardan used two pitchers and allowed the Bulldogs 19 walks over the three innings.

Freshman Perry Imler doubled and tripled to lead the seven-hit Colfax offense. Chelsea Becker tripled and Maddy Shrope paired singles.

Colfax posted at 21-1 win in the second game with Kennedy Schmidt, also a freshman, striking out five and allowing just two hits. The Bulldogs totaled eight hits with Miller, Becker and Schmidt each rapping a homer. Anni Cox rapped two singles and a double.

The second game was shut down after four innings when the Bulldogs added 15 runs to the 7-0 lead they posted in the first four innings.

Reardan scored its lone run in the bottom of the fourth inning.

Colfax booked four errors in the first game and one error in the second game.

Reardan had five errors in the first game and and three in the second game.

Colfax was scheduled to play two makeup games at Liberty Wednesday. The doubleheader was booked to make up a Saturday trip to Liberty which was rained out.

A Thursday game here with Colton has been postponed until May 2 with a doubleheader now scheduled.
