AP tags Gfeller top 2B player

Colfax senior Carmen Gfeller has been named the top 2B player for the state by the Associated Press. Coach Corey Baerlocher said he was notified of the selection Tuesday.

In the 27-game Colfax run to the state title, Gfeller hit 203 of 348 shots for 58.9 percent. That total included a 26-57 mark for three pointers for 45.6 percent.

Her toss shot total was 96-130 for 73.9 percent.

Gfeller pulled down 253 rebounds for an average of 9.4 a game, 63 assists and 65 steals. She totaled 548 points on the season for a 20.3 average per game.
