Zornes tourney set for Colfax course

The 10th annual Peter Zornes Memorial Tournament will be Saturday at Colfax Golf Course as a fundraiser for the Zornes Memorial Scholarship in the WSU Neuroscience department where Zornes, an Oakesdale High School grad, was a student.

The tourney will begin with a shotgun start at 10 a.m. and play will follow a scramble format. Men's and women's golf skill contests will include longest drive, closest to the pin and putting contest.

There will also be a $100,000 shootout chance and silent auction in the clubhouse. Gift certificates, tour vouchers, and items donated by various businesses will go to the highest bidders.

The event will include a drawing for a trip to Oasis Resort in Palm Springs. Tickets for the prize are on sale now for the drawing and the winner will not have to be present to win.
