Dusty BB club plans Yuletide celebration

Dusty B.B. Club will meet at 9 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 15, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church parish hall in Colfax to decorate for the Christmas party. Hostesses are Fran Maki and Dianne Appel. Roll call is a cookie exchange. Members are asked to bring a dozen cookies to share. The Christmas party will be Friday, Dec. 16, at 6 p.m. in the parish hall. Members are to bring a hot dish and a salad or dessert. Santa and Rudolph are expected to join the festivities.

Visitors at the home of David and Phyllis Stueckle over Thanksgiving were their daughter and family, Larry and Karen Light and Emmaly and Joshua. They arrived from their home in Portland on Wednesday before Thanksgiving and left the Friday after.

Bud and John Aune, Colfax, were visitors at the home of their sister, Phyllis and David Stueckle, last week Wednesday afternoon.

A number of Dusty area women attended the Onecho Bible Church’s Saturday brunch, Christmas Memories, hosted by the church’s women’s group.

Sunday, Selbu Lutheran Church had a potluck after morning worship services. They decorated the church’s Christmas tree, and the children presented a Christmas program.

Kenneth Wigen, uncle to Linda Hennigar, died at the age of 93 on the Tuesday prior to Thanksgiving. He had lived and farmed in Rockford for many years. After retirement, he and his late wife moved to a retirement facility in Spokane. Hennigar, Goldie Foss, another niece, and Jim Moore attended memorial services Tuesday of last week.
