Sharon McGlothlin

A funeral service for Sharon McGlothlin, 66, Colfax, will be today Thursday, Nov. 3, 2016, at 10 a.m. at Bruning Funeral Home. She died Sunday, Oct. 30, 2016, at her home in Colfax.

The youngest of five children, she was born with a developmental disability after her mother contracted toxemia with albumin urea and high blood pressure during pregnancy.

In 1958, Sharon was admitted to Lakeland Village where she lived for many years and had a job making beds and assisting with care of other residents. During the late 1970’s, she moved to Paul’s Place in Colfax and resided there until 2007 when she moved to an adult family home in Pullman. She then moved back to Colfax in 2011 and resided at DreamWorks. Her hobbies included coloring, shopping, collecting watches and taking care of people. Sharon enjoyed meeting people and small children.

Marguerite Schneider, age 93, died Monday morning, Oct. 31, 2016, at her home near Tekoa where she has lived with her son Don for the past five years. Arrangements are pending at Kramer Funeral Home in Tekoa. A full obituary will be in next week’s paper.
