LaCrosse FFA trio tops state contest

Trey Fleming, Lauren Stubbs and TJ Harder won the State Hall of Chapters booth competition at the state FFA convention in the WSU campus last week. They earned a trip to Nationals this fall.

The Meats team placed second at the state competition. All four girls placed in the top 10. Team members were Jessica Guske third, Abby McGregor eighth, Britte Harder ninth and Nicole Harder 10th.

Track team members Alynn Harder, Autumn Meyers, Jessica Guske, Jazzmyn Gordon and Keith Zimme have advanced to regional qualifications next Friday and Saturday in Spokane.

The FFA Plant Sale will continue this week. Plants will be available for purchase during school hours. All pots are $2 each, and there is a variety of annual plants available.

Donations needed: The school is looking for ping-pong tables, a pool table and a foosball table. Contact the main office 549-3591.

FFA Jr. Show Results: Jazlynn Webb, two blue ribbons for market goats, one blue for fitting and showing; Terrell Webb, one blue for market goats, Grand Champion for Jr./Sr. Goat Showman; Jordanne Webb, one purple for market goats, one blue for fitting and showing; Alynn Harder, one blue for market lambs, oneblue for fitting and showing, and Trey Fleming, one purple for market lambs, one purple for fitting and showing.

Both the goat and lamb exhibitors were second in herdsmanship. The meats team won first place at the Jr. show.

Team members were Nicole Harder first, Jessica Guske third, Abby McGregor fifth, Britte Harder sixth, Weston Miller 10th.
