GARY R. JOHNSON

A memorial service for Gary R. Johnson, 50, resident of Colfax for five years, will be Friday, April 29, at 1 p.m. in the Bruning Funeral Home chapel at Colfax. Mr. Johnson died suddenly at his home in Colfax.

Mr. Johnson came to Colfax in January of 2011 to make his home at DreamWorks Residential.

Born Nov. 30, 1965, in Oroville, he was adopted by Robert and Zelma Johnson as an infant. He attended schools in Omak until age 21 and graduated from high school at Omak in 1987.

Mr. Johnson worked for the BOOST collaborative as a member of the mobile crew in Pullman for more than four years. He enjoyed county music, the outdoors, collecting Hot Wheels and classic car replicas and visiting with his family. He also enjoyed playing cards and dining at the Top Notch.

Survivng are his mother, Zelma Johnson; a sister, Kari, and two nephews.

DONALD J. KRIEBEL

The funeral service for Donald J. Kriebel, 84, retired Garfield farmer, will be at the Garfield Christian Church Saturday, May 28, at 10 a.m. Mr. Kriebel died in Garfield April 19, 2016.

Born April 13, 1932, at the family farm on Grinnell Road to Clarence and Grace Kriebel, he farmed with his father until he was drafted into the Army and served in the Korean War. When he returned home he chose to keep farming.

Don married Susan Sarver Dec. 28, 1965, and they had three children.

He was an active participant in the American Legion, Grange and various community associations. His interests included anything to do with family, the local community and hunting and fishing.

Surviving are his wife of 50 years, Susan; children Peggy (Les) Thomas, Connie Kriebel and Brian Kriebel; a sister, Nina Bill Parcel, and five grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials go to the G. Raymond McCown American Legion Post 24 building fund at Garfield.

MARJORIE M. MILLION

A graveside service for Marjorie M. Million, 86, will be Saturday, April 30, at 1 p.m. at the Garfield Cemetery with the Rev. Phil Weagraff officiating. Mrs. Million died early April 20, 2016, at the Hospice of Spokane, Hospice House North, in Spokane.

Born June 9, 1929, in Latah County, Idaho, to Earl and Inga (Holm) Griner, she attended the Cedar Creek Country School and the Garfield schools and graduated from the Garfield High School with the class of 1946.

She married G. Gale Million Jan. 2, 1947, in Garfield, and they made their home there. She worked for the Allen V. Smith Pea Mill, as a waitress at the local restaurant and at the hardware store in Garfield before she started working at Washington State University. She worked as an assistant manager at the Rotunda Dining Hall and at Rogers-Orton Hall until she retired in 1987. After her retirement, she drove school bus for the Garfield/Palouse School District for several years.

Her husband Gale Million died in November of 2015.

Survivors include one son, Roger Million, Garfield; one daughter, Crystal Hanson (Lee) Spokane; seven grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Diana Roper.

The family suggests memorials to Hospice of Spokane, Hospice House North, 102 W. Rhoades, Spokane, WA 99208.
