Eagles, Tigercats roll up points

LaCrosse/Washtucna/Kahlotus girls rolled up 31 points to finish April 13 in a District 9 track meet at College Place.

Asotin again stacked up wins to take both sides with the Panther girls topping the charts at 122 points and the boys winning at 114.

St. John/Endicott boys finished with 28 points for a fifth place finish.

Top finisher for the Eagles was a one-two in the high jump with Cooper Lundberg clearing 5-6 and Griffin Parrish clearing 5-4.

Adam Blakeley placed second in the long jump at 18-8 behind the 19-4 leap by Nate Prior of Asotin.

SJE girls finished with 12 points. Jayden Corder of the Eagles placed second in the shotput with a 33-1 behind the 32-8 win by Skylar Olson of DeSales. Corder was also second in the the discus at 81-1 behind the 85-15 fling by Destany Herbert of Pomeroy.

Autumn Meyers of LWK pegged a second in the javelin at 71-2. The event was dominated by Natasha Knight of Asotin who pegged a 101-5. Olivia Larsen of SJE placed eighth with 62-06.

Jazzmyn Gordon also took a second with a 4-4 in the high jump and Meyers placed third at 4-2 behind the 5-0 win by Pearl Blachly of Pomeroy. Jessica Guske took third in the shotput with 26-11.

Gordon was third in the discus behind Herbert and Corder with a 80-10 heave, and Guske place fourth with a 76-9. Guske also place third in the triple jump with a 27-10 behind the 33-0 marked by Emily Adams of Waitsburg/Prescott.

LWK's Alynn Harder, place ninth in the 100 meter at 14.69, the 4X100 relay team of Gordon, Guske, Harder and Meyers placed sixth at 60.53.

Other top 12 finishers for the SJE girls included Kaylie Dyas, 10th at 32.47, and Chelsea Bammers, 11th at 32;52 in the 200; 4X100 relay team at 1:01.89; Larsen, sixth in the javelin at 62-6; Kiersten Ray, seventh in the long jump at 12-1 and Dyas, 11th in the long jump at 11-2; and Bammes, seventh in the triple jump at 25-6.

Other top 12 finisher for the SJE boys included Levi Bailey, 12th in the 100 at 12.86; Dominic Treis, sixth in the 400 at 1:02.34; 4X100 relay team of Bailey, A. Blakeley, Parrish and Lundberg, fifth at 49.84; 4X400 relay team of Bailey, Treis, Parrish and A. Blakeley, fourth at 4:00.54; Jacob Blakeley, 10th in the discus at 88-8 and fifth in javelin at 121-06; Bailey fourth in triple jump with 34-10.

Dalton Pogue of LaCrosse/Washtucna placed 10th in the 800 at 2:50.78, and Keith Zimmer placed 12th in the shotput at 34-5
