Chadwick to Moore, in a crowd – Colton junior Brady Chadwick threads a pass to Luke Moore against St. John/Endicott last Friday night.

Nearing the push for the playoffs, Garfield/Palouse and Liberty Christian sit tied for first place after the Vikings beat them in Richland to avenge an earlier loss at home. Both teams are now 8-1 in Southeast 1B league play.

Colton's surge puts them in third place in the league at 5-3, while Pomeroy (4-4) and Touchet (3-5) hold fourth and fifth.

The Southeast 1B league district tournament will start Feb. 10 with first-round games around the county, followed by the semifinals, championship and consolation games at Walla Walla Community College Feb. 19-20.

The first and second-place finishers will advance to the state sub-tournament, the one-game stage which the winner advances to Spokane Arena.
