Wall descendants at playoff

Descendants of Tekoa’s EWU football legend William P. “Bink” Wall met in the State 2B quarterfinal playoff game between Napavine and Liberty Saturday at Centralia.

Wall was an All-American linebacker at Eastern in late 1960s. After college, he had to forego a potential professional career with the Minnesota Vikings to fulfill his ROTC obligation. He was killed in Vietnam.

Wall was one of 11 linebackers on EWU’s “top 100 players in 100 years of EWU football” and was inducted into the EWU hall of fame. The athletic weight room is named after him.
