St. John/Endicott boys finish 19th at Roos Field

St. John/Endicott boys rolled up 14 points to finish 19th among 31 entries in the state 1B finals Saturday at Cheney, and the Eagle girls place in a tie for 23rd with nine among 33 teams in the girls side. Lummi topped the boys meet with 54, and Mt. Vernon Christian topped the girls’ side with 59. Adam Blakeley had the top finish for the Eagle boys with a second on the long jump a 20-09 behind the 20-10.5 win posted by Sam Schafer of Odessa/Harrington. Rachel Gfeller placed second in the girls’ triple jump for the Eagles, and Jayden Corder placed eighth in shot put.
