Vikings lose to Pomeroy twice

The Gar-Pal baseball team traveled to Pomeroy last Saturday and went down twice, 11-1 and 5-1.

The two losses drop the Vikings out of the playoff race, with an 8-6 overall record and 1-5 in league.

"Costly errors," said Garfield-Palouse coach Jim Stewart. "Way too many walks and passed balls in the first game. In the second game, we didn’t walk as many people. But we still didn’t hit the ball again either."

The Vikings played the two games without junior Wyatt Griner, who injured his knee against the Colfax J.V. last week.
